Error Code 721

Solution:

  • Make sure your DIRECTV account is active and payments are up to date. If needed, contact DIRECTV customer support.

  • If your receiver isn’t getting the programming info for this channel

Error Code 771 / 771A

Solution:

  • Check for any obstructions that may be blocking your satellite dish. Ensure that all cables are properly connected.
  • Severe weather may interrupt the signal between your dish and the satellite. If you’re currently experiencing heavy rain, hail, or snow, wait for it to pass to see if that fixes the issue.
  • Your dish isn’t communicating with the satellite.

Error Code 775

Solution:

  • There maybe a communication issue between the receiver and the satellite dish. Check all cable connections then reset the receiver.
  • If still facing issue call your Directv dealer to solve the issue 

Error Code 920

Solution:

  • DIRECTV error code 920 means that your receiver has not received guide information from the satellite for the past 3-4 hours.
  • The first thing you should do is diagnose the problem by running a simple system test

How to run system test?

Follow this simple steps – Press and hold the INFO button for about three seconds. You’ll be taken to the system test screen where you can run an automatic system test or just look at more information about your receiver. You’ll need to press the DASH button (to the left of the zero) in order to confirm.

Solution:

  • Make sure you have inserted right access card.
  • First Remove the access card from the receiver, wait for 10 seconds, insert the access card back into the slot. Make sure the card is inserted logo side up and the arrow side inserted first.
